How do I book an appointment?You can book a therapy appointment online at https://oab.owlpractice.ca/bravenewliving/booking. If you are a new client, you must first book an initial 15-minute free consultation.

As a new potential client, why do I have to book an initial 15-minute consultation?"Sometimes, a different type of mental health practitioner may be better suited for your needs. This complementary consultation will help determine if we are a right fit for each other. If I determine a different type practitioner may be a better fit for you, I will help you find that person who can help you. I find that these 15-minute chats can be a valuable step in ensuring that you start your journey off right.

Do you offer In-Person and/or Virtual therapy sessions?Yes, I offer both In-Person and Virtual therapy sessions.

Does my health plan cover therapy sessions with a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)?Some extended health plans may cover a limited amount of sessions with an MFT. Call and confirm this with your insurance provider prior to the intial session - ask if sessions with a therapist who has a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) are covered under your insurance plan.

Does Manitoba Health cover MFT sessions?No Manitoba Health does not cover MFT sessions.

Does First Nations and Inuit Health cover MFT sessions?No, First Nations and Inuit Health does not cover MFT sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?I require 2 business days’ notice to cancel sessions without penalty. For missed sessions or cancellations less than 2 business days prior to your scheduled session, you will be automatically charged 50% of the session fee. Exceptions may be made due to an emergency or unique situation. Please contact me in these instances so that we can discuss.
